Alarming Recording Shows Instant Law Enforcement Suffer Blade Attacks in Surprise Attack

The Two Senior Officers Moments Prior to the Aggressor Received Electric Shock

One ranking policeman who jumped to the aid of a colleague who was ambushed by a blade-wielder was granted the King's Commendation for Courage.

Sergeant Tim Ansell grappled with 27-year-old Jacob Brown subsequent to he held a blade to the neck of his partner Sgt Marc Foster.

Brown began the violence as the policemen and their partner, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were conversing to a motorist following a vehicle incident in the area in mid-2023.

Brown stabbed and slashed the two Sergeant Ansell and Sergeant Foster before PC Wolstencroft stunned him with a stun gun.

"Policeman knifed," PC Wolstencroft could be heard saying over his communication device.

Officer-mounted and dashboard camera footage shared by the force showed Brown, that was clothed in dark clothing with a head covered, rush to Sergeant Foster from the rear with a blade extended.

He collided with the policeman who tripped and dropped to the pavement, after which Sergeant Ansell stepped in and tried to wrestle him to the pavement despite being repeatedly struck with the blade.

Police Constable Wolstencroft deployed his electric weapon and waited for a clear shot, concluding the struggle to an conclusion.

Sgt Ansell can be heard to say: "Can I get help on my throat now, I got knifed in the throat."

Sergeant Ansell received multiple deep cuts to his neck and further wounds to his arms and torso, while Sergeant Foster experienced slash wounds.

The department said Sgt Foster used his bare hands to stem his fellow officer's hemorrhaging prior to emergency responders arrived.

This most recent honor follows after the trio of policemen were granted internal Courage Honors in October 2023 and the John Egerton Bravery Award from the local Police Federation in early 2024.

They were also awarded a Area Courage Honor in July 2024.

"The responses of the entire team ultimately saved each other and meant no bystanders suffered any injuries."

Brown received a sentence to an secure medical confinement in spring 2024, according to the department.
