Three Lions Squad Announced: Bellingham and Foden Omitted, Saka Makes Comeback

The England manager has opted to stick with the same Three Lions selection that triumphed against their previous opponents and delivered an impressive display in Belgrade last month, leaving no room for Jude Bellingham and the Manchester City attacker in his selection for the forthcoming exhibition match against the Welsh side and the World Cup qualifier in the Baltic nation.

Although Foden pushing for a return to the squad after rediscovering his form at Manchester City, and Jude Bellingham having made a comeback for his Spanish club following shoulder surgery, the national team manager has opted not to selecting two of the nation's biggest offensive stars. The young midfielder has been in the starting lineup just a single time for his team since his comeback.

Tuchel has made room for the Arsenal winger, who is back to fitness and has been reinstated in place of his unavailable club colleague the sidelined player. The experienced attacker has not received a return to the squad.

The national team coach expressed his admiration for the vibrancy in the previous selection and appears determined to maintaining the vibe. The Newcastle defender, who started at the defensive flank in the 5-0 win in Belgrade, has been ruled out due to a knock. The manager has not called up a direct replacement for the Magpies star but has included the Manchester City defender, who had to withdraw last month. He has discussed the Manchester City defender's importance for the national team and has floated the idea of using him in midfield.

No spot has been found for Adam Wharton, who was called up last month but pulled out due to injury and was substituted by Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

The manager stated: “A mere three weeks since the last camp and the most recent victory, the last performance, so the question was why not bring the same group in because they set the standard. Now it is about building routines out of it. We have unfortunately a couple of fitness issues at the moment with Tino and Noni and we welcome of course the Arsenal forward in to take the place of Noni. The defender was a late call-up previously; he will remain with the squad.”
